roses

Here is a picture of the pretty roses my wonderful boyfriend gave me for Valentines Day! He also gave me some chocolates and a pretty brown watch! Of course the chocolates are all gone! I honestly didn't think to take a picture with them sooner, they were much prettier 4 days earlier when I got them! ha ha. But now they are starting to open up a little more!
close up!

Two dozen pretty red roses. Aren't they gorgeous? I think so too. Good job Clayton! :)

I wanted to be back in college today

I love running. Actually I love running once I get done. I enjoy that "I just ran _ miles and feel so good and healthy" feeling...even if I ate a couple cookies before going. Running time and shower time are great times for me. I think a lot when I run. Today I ran on a trail that reminded me of one in Nacogdoches that I ran often. As I was running, my mind ventured to those college days. Sure was nice to have your best friends in the dorm room next door! Now they're 3 states away! That was such a carefree time! I have some of the greatest memories from weekend trips to houston or wherever, LOST nights, midnight lunges, and many more! Thought it'd be fun to back track a few years and post some college pictures!

This was a fun picture experience!

Outings and such

This week off has been pretty lazy...until the last couple days. Friday, Clay and I went to dinner with Sam and Russ, a couple we work with. They knew of this secret Italian place in pepper place in southside. I had the 4 cheese pasta and it was marvelous! All of us were very pleased with our delicious meals!! Here's our after dinner picture!
Last night a group of us met up for a painting party! It was at this place in English Village, Smoldering Rock, I think. Anyway, it is very similar to sips and strokes, but BETTER! There were 7 of us and we all were able to paint a different painting! It would have taken us FOREVER for all of us to decide on just one! Clay was hesitant at first, but his nature painting turned out great! Actually, all the paintings were good and we had a fun time doing it! I know I will definitely be going back!
Yes, he has paint on his face! He did it to me, so we had to have payback! It was a rather lovely shade of green! :)
Helping me paint the sides, look at that teamwork!
Finished products! My birds name is Jack and I was so happy it turned out cause I was so dang nervous doing him!
Sam posing by her painting!

Unfortunately we didn't take a group pic, would have been fun to take one with all of us and our pretty creations!!!

Looking forward to hugging more Dominican children in about 4 months! How could you not love this precious face?
