I've always had a few life goals. Sky diving (check), Bungee jumping, scuba diving, and run a marathon. Since they always say your twenties are your prime, I was looking into marathons one night at work...26 miles is a lot to run at first, so I'm going to start it out with just a half marathon and possibly run a full marathon later in the year next year.

Fortunately, (thanks to my lengthy research) I have found there's one in Birmingham in Feb! For the next 11 weeks, I will be training for it! I'm pretty excited about this and hope I can do it! All the training schedules I've looked into say to give yourself 12 weeks to train. Well I'm only 1 shy of that, but I've been working out, so it's not like I will be starting from scratch.

Pretty sure the hardest thing is going to be the hills. We don't have massive hills in TX, so it will take several days of sore muscles and much time to get used to!

Anyone want to join me in my running endeavors?

2008 is going to be the year of the marriages!!!

Congrats to Katie and Geoff on their engagement!!! Y'all are so cute! Katie, can't wait til your bachelorette party! Woo-hoo!! (I'd still like to hear how he asked yoU!)

Okay, so sleeping 13 hours + 1 Rockstar at about 3am = NO FREAKING SLEEP FOR JENN! Yes I'm a little upset over this. I overslept for work by umm, like 3 hours last night. Today, I decided to change my alarm on my phone to a new (and more annoying) song and turn the volume up. Hopefully, that wont happen again in the near future. Thanks to sleeping in, I will be working Thanksgiving (which was going to be my day off) to make up for the lost hours. boo...

Ode to Tina...

Why must I feel the urge to clean when my roommates are asleep? My room needs to be vacuumed, but the only time I think about it is at night. Darn. Oh well.

So I'm sick. And it sucks. But, on a good note, I've caught up on my sleep! I literally slept a whole day. I laid down at 1pm yesterday to take a nap and woke up at 1am, only to take more tylenol cold and flu and went back to sleep. I woke up at 7:30 and made some muffins for breakfast and talked to the madre, then went back to bed till 12:30 today. Man, it was great. I just hope I can sleep tonight! I was kinda upset cause I wanted to go to church, but when I got out today, I felt like crap, so I'm not too sad I missed out...


Saw the movie Lars and the Real Girl...interesting and weird. The whole time I found myself thinking, surely this is going to pick up a little...nope. I feel like it had some life-changing metaphor, but can't seem to figure out what that is.

(The one of us actually smiling ended up blurry, darn.) Whitney managed to get us tickets to the concert, so off we went to see Dave Barnes and Matt Wertz. I'm a new fan. I knew my dear roomies wouldn't draw me astray. Oh and we saw some people from work there:

P.S. Tina is our fish, and our apartment mascot. This month, Whitney has had Tina a whole year. Our roomie night out was in honor of Tina's 1 year bday! Congrats!!

El Prego

So like all the girls that work on my shift are pregnant. The other night I had a dream I too was pregnant. And by dream, what I really mean is nightmare. I woke up and was relieved. Then, as I was getting ready for work, I tried to imagine where I'd put a crib in my room. wow. Here's a pic of what I might look like pregnant:
ha! In like 6 years! So I've decided I'm going to vicariously live through their pregnancies! haha

Wonderful week with the fam in granbury and an amazing time in nac with the friends!!! Back to work tomorrow, but possibly a trip to St. Louis next week on my off week to visit the brosky!!!
