I got this crazy idea to change my blog around...a couple hours later and I think I found something I like! Goodness it takes forever! I think I'm stuck with it looking like this for awhile!
Anyway...
Clay and I went to Texas to visit my parents last week...Of course I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few highlights:
Clay and my dad went hunting one day...
Had to get one of sweet Lefty!!
The State Fair of Texas! It was my first time since I was like maybe 6 years old! Lots of fun, way too hot, and no vomiting from the rides! (this is HUGE!)
Here's Big Tex, they have a speaker and his jaw moves like he's talking, pretty cool:
The Texas Star Ferris Wheel!
That's right...there's a sign for a fried snickers! We didn't try it, I actually never saw that...only saw signs for fried cheesecake. I was actually looking forward to eating something like that. Oh well, there's always next time!
Clay and dad played golf with one of dad's friends one day and I got to go with them and be Clay's personal driver. It was fun, I'm glad the Texas mosquitoes don't like me as much as Clay!
Oh! and my sister got a teaching job! She will be teaching Texas and World history in Bryan, TX...and still getting to hang out with her friends from Texas A&M! I'm so happy she found a job! And I look forward to hearing about her teaching stories! Yay Laura, way to go!
