Farewell

Our nurse educator is leaving this month, so we threw him a going away party last night. It was a good last hoo-rah with Jimmy. He had lots of unusual advice for us. And as usual, I did not take many pictures, but here's a few!

Half-zies

Sunday I was in Dallas running a half marathon with my college roommate, Sarah! Her husband and family were kind enough to let me stay with them Saturday night. After the race, I was able to go home with my parents for a couple days. The race itself was fun, we ran from where the Texas State Fair is to beside a lake. The marathoners split from us and got to run ALL the way around the lake! I was glad I didn't do the full marathon (though I want to do one someday!) cause there were lots of areas people weren't able to be to cheer the runners on! I was crazy sore the day after!! Katie was originally going to run it with us. Turns out she tore some cartilage in her knee and will have surgery next week. :( So she came to cheer us on!
Mom and dad weren't able to get any pictures of me cause I was too fast. HA! They didn't get my camera from Sarah's family before the race so mom took pics with her phone. LOL!
